BGA 628: Miniature Wi-Fi LNA with Ultra-Low Noise Figure

Image BGA 628 block diagram Image

BGA 628 goes a step further in our drive to reduce noise and form factor in wideband amplifiers. A noise figure of 0.8dB at 2.4GHz, compact form factor and low external part count make it ideal for size-critical applications in handheld devices for WLAN, WiMAX, mobile TV and other wireless solutions.

This single-chip LNA comes with integrated biasing, RF choke and output matching. This significantly reduces the design timeframe and makes it a lot easier for system engineers to drop the LNA into the receiver frontend and enhance the wireless system's sensitivity.

The LNA also features an on/off switch on chip which can be easily controlled using a DC level equal to that of the power supply voltage.

On-chip ESD protection of 2kV HBM results in a high level of ESD robustness and eliminates the risk of ESD strikes when the receiver is in use.
