BGA 758: Miniature Wi-Fi LNA with Ultra-Low Noise Figure
BGA 758 block diagram
BGA 758 is state-of-the-art integrated WLAN/WiMAX LNA for a frequency band of 5 to 6GHz. It has an excellent noise figure of only 1.05dB and an extremely small form factor. The chip boasts high linearity with an input compression point of -3.5dBm, which facilitates the design of robust receivers working in the vicinity of other disruptive high-power signals.
The LNA comes with integrated active biasing and output matching. This significantly reduces the design timeframe and makes it a lot easier for system engineers to drop the LNA into the receiver frontend and enhance the wireless system's sensitivity.
The LNA also features an on/off switch on chip which can be easily controlled using a DC level equal to that of the
power supply voltage.
On-chip ESD protection of 2kV HBM results in a high level of ESD robustness and eliminates the risk of ESD strikes when the receiver is in use.
