The Infineon SPILED driver family has three new members. They are all monolithical ICs with a separate battery feed concept. Depending on the individual feature set, the devices are designed with low-voltage cranking or integrated PWM functionality.

Infineon SPILED is an integrated solution for low-power LEDs targeted at safety-critical applications thanks to the integrated limp-home functionality. Each SPILED device is a six-channel high-side switch controlled over an SPI, with a group of three channels supplied by one battery line.

To fulfill LED diagnostic requirements, each channel can be monitored by the integrated current sense multiplexer. The devices are available in PG-SSOP-24 exposed pad packages and can deliver 420mA per channel.
