Free and Easy-To-Use Development Tools with DAVE™ Bench for XC800 and XE166/XC2000 Microcontrollers
DAVE™ Bench is a free and easy-to-use set of development tools for Infineon’s XC800 microcontroller family. With DAVE™ Bench, designers can immediately start evaluating and developing embedded software for the XC800 microcontrollers.
DAVE™ Bench is an integrated development environment (IDE) that contains a free compiler, debugger, simulator, Flash loader and a U-SPY (UART terminal incl. digital oscilloscope). DAVE™ Bench also provides a tailored interface to the free DAVE™ code generation tool where engineers can work directly on DAVE™ projects and automatically switch to DAVE™ to change configurations and generate code. The widely used Eclipse-based IDE has been enhanced with many practical new features to facilitate project management. It also comes with a web interface to search for examples, get technical support and receive automated updates.
A free set of development tools for XE166 and XC2000 is provided in cooperation with Altium. The TASKING VX toolset Lite for C166 is based on the professional TASKING VX toolset with a few performance restrictions. This toolset is also based on Eclipse and contains a free compiler, debugger, simulator and special interface to the DAVE™ code generation tool.
With the TASKING VX toolset Lite, designers can immediately start evaluating and developing embedded software
for the XE166/XC2000 microcontrollers.
