As market leader in IGBTs, Infineon offers a comprehensive, high-performance portfolio of 600V discrete IGBTs for resonant-switching applications like induction heating cooktops. The portfolio has been developed to provide benchmark performance in terms of switching and conduction losses, ensuring best-in-class efficiency and fast time-to-market. The IHW 40N60RF was recently added to the HighSpeed3 family to address high-speed switching topologies calling for optimized switching losses. These devices provide excellent performance over temperature and ensure up to 20% lower switching losses compared with competitor devices.
Coupled with Infineon’s latest half-bridge driver, 2ED020I06-FI, we offer a reliable and cost-effective solution for driving IGBT and MOSFET power stages up to 600V breakdown voltage. The IC, part of the EiceDRIVER™ family, is based on coreless transformer technology, which combines the advantages of inductive signal transmission and isolation with compact IC driver stage design. Unlike optocouplers, these ICs eliminate degradation over time.They are extremely robust against negative transients, switch faster than monolithic driver ICs and offer high efficiency and lifetime.
