New Additions to TLE 4998 Linear Hall Family Improve Electromagnetic Compatibility and Reduce System Design Cost
TLE 4998xx block diagram
Infineon’s TLE 4998 product family of high-precision linear Hall sensors has been expanded to include four new products: TLE 4998P3C, TLE 4998P3C_E1200, TLE 4998S3C and TLE 4998C3C. These products have been bundled to create the new PG-SSO-3-9 package, which contains two additional capacitors directly integrated on the lead frame.
Integrating capacitors in this way further improves the electromagnetic compatibility of the TLE 4998 family. It also simplifies module design and reduces system cost by eliminating the need for additional PCBs previously required for carrying capacitors. TLE 4998P3C_E1200 offers increased sensitivity for use with lower magnetic fields (larger airgaps or smaller magnets).
All four new products provide the same levels of robustness, temperature and stress compensation available with previous product family members.
- Low drift of output signal over temperature and lifetime
- Two capacitors integrated in the leads for enhanced electromagnetic compatibility
- Digital temperature compensation
- High immunity against mechanical stress, electromagnetic interference and electrostatic discharge
- Available with three different output protocols: Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM), Single Edge Nibble Transmission (SENT) and Short PWM Codes (SPC)
- Two-point calibration of magnetic transfer function without iteration steps
- 20-bit digital signal processing
