Speed PROFET™ Motor Drive High-Side Switch

The Speed PROFET™ BTF 50060-1TEA is a 6mΩ (max. 12mΩ @ 150°C) single-channel protected high-side switch, able to switch at frequencies of 25kHz and above. Housed in a DPAK 5-pin package, it offers a cost-competitive solution capable of driving, controlling and protecting a 12V DC motor (e.g. 100W) or valve.
In combination with a freewheeling diode or a low-side switch, the Speed PROFET™ can be set up in a half-bridge or buck converter topology. It can be driven with a 33kHz PWM signal directly from a microcontroller without necessitating an external bootstrap capacitor, thus enabling an easy and space-optimized board layout.
The device includes protection functions such as short-circuit and overtemperature shutdown plus diagnostic functions like open load in ON and OFF state, and accurate load current measurement.
