TLE 5011 block diagram
In October 2009, Infineon released its first iGMR angle sensor available to the open market.
With its automotive qualification and angle accuracy of >2°, this device is mainly targeted at automotive applications such as steering angle detection or EC motor commutation. It is also ideally suited to industrial and consumer applications like rotary switches and general angle sensors.
- Giant Magneto Resistance (GMR)-based design
- Full 0-360° angle measurement
- Highly accurate single-bit SD-ADC
- 16-bit representation of sine/cosine values on the interface
- Magnetic operating range: 30-50 mT- Fully automotive qualified from -40 to +150° C
- Numerous safety features supporting SIL (Safety Integrity Level) qualification
