TLE 8458G - Automotive LIN Transceiver with Integrated Voltage Regulator
Block diagram
The TLE 8458G is a monolithic integrated circuit featuring one transceiver and a low-drop voltage regulator. The integrated transceiver is ideal for driving the bus line in LIN systems in automotive and industrial applications. To reduce current consumption, the TLE 8458G offers a sleep mode and a stop mode. In sleep mode, the voltage regulator is switched off to minimize current consumption of the entire application. In stop mode, the voltage regulator remains active while the transceiver is in sleep mode. A wake-up caused by a message on the bus or a signal at the local wake (WK) pin enables the voltage regulator and sets the device to standby mode.
